IVY ROSE SCHOLARSHIP

The Ivy Rose Scholarship is named for Ivy Rose, a young girl who was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at age 4. Despite an amputation to save her life, Ivy Rose danced and danced, including at the Pia Bouman School, until the disease took her life in 2021 at the age of 13. Each year, this Scholarship is awarded to a young student of dance between 8 - 13 years of age who shows the passion, creative power and love of dance that made Ivy Rose stand out during her dancing years at the Pia Bouman School.

2022

Brooklyn Turnbull and Ella Reid are the two recipients of the Ivy Rose Scholarship this year. Both dancers are committed to work hard as well as serving as role models for other dancers. They have demonstrated team spirit and proved they are infused with the vitality of the late Ivy Rose.

2021

Lily Chávez-Muir, age 12, from Pia Bouman Dance School was the first recipient of this award. Lily is not only a talented dancer with years of experience but is a support and inspiration to her peers and a model for young dancers.
